Sensitive data like your name, email, and password are stored in hashed or encrypted form to enhance security and protect your privacy in the event of a breach. This information is used only to provide the services of the Saddle app.
3. Location Data:
   Your location is stored as an approximate value within half a mile of your real position. This data is encrypted and is never shown to other users in exact form.
4. Use of Information:
   We use your information to operate and improve Saddle, including support for advertisements and monetization features such as boosting profiles. We do not sell your data. Aggregate, anonymous data may be used to improve features and design.
5. Monetization:
   At this time, all revenue from paid features (such as profile boosts) is retained by the platform. If this changes, users will be clearly informed during any transaction.
6. Account Deletion:
   When an account is deleted, it is removed from public view immediately. However, chat data may be retained for up to 30 days strictly for moderation and abuse prevention.
7. Bans and Moderation:
   Shadowbans do not exist. If an account is banned or IP-banned, the account and related data may remain accessible to moderators for abuse prevention. Reverification may be required for accounts deemed suspicious; this is not a punishment, but a security safeguard.
8. Data Security:
   We use commercially reasonable measures to secure your data, including encryption and strict access controls. However, no digital system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
9. Security Breach Disclaimer:
   In the event of a breach, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable laws. While we take strong security measures, we recommend that you only upload content you are comfortable being seen online, as no system is completely immune to attack. We are not liable for damages unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
10. Cookies:
    We use minimal cookies only for authentication and user session management. We do not track your behavior for advertising or analytics purposes.
11. Children's Privacy:
    We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using our service, please contact us immediately for removal.
12. Changes to This Policy:
    This Privacy Policy may be updated over time. You will be notified via the app or email when material changes are made.
13. Offline and In-Person Interactions:
    Saddle is not responsible for any offline or in-person interactions between users. You are solely responsible for your conduct and safety in all interactions, both online and offline. If you experience inappropriate behavior, you may report other users at any time by visiting their profile.
