Account Responsibility:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. Sharing your account is prohibited. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile information current.
Acceptable Use Policy:
You agree not to use the service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to: harassment, spam, impersonation, sharing explicit content without consent, promoting violence, attempting to defraud other users, or any activity that violates local, state, or federal laws.
Location and Privacy:
We collect your approximate location (within half a mile) to help match users. This data is encrypted and is never shared in exact form with other users or third parties.
Use of Personal Data:
We do not sell or rent your personal data. It is only used to provide core functionality of the app, optimize our features, and enhance user experience. Data may be used in anonymized, aggregate form for analysis.
User Content and Conduct:
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. Do not post illegal, abusive, explicit, or copyrighted material. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Verification and Messaging:
Certain features, including messaging, may require account verification. You agree to provide accurate and appropriate content for this process. If an account is flagged as suspicious, we may request reverification. This is not a punishment but a protective measure against abuse or malicious behavior.
Paid Services, Billing, and Refunds:
We offer premium features including profile boosts and subscriptions. All payments are processed through secure third-party providers. Charges are non-refundable except where required by law or in cases of technical error on our part. Subscription services will auto-renew unless canceled. You can cancel subscriptions in your account settings.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes:
Unauthorized chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension pending investigation. If you have a legitimate payment concern, please contact our support team first. Fraudulent chargebacks or repeated disputes may result in permanent account termination and potential legal action.
Monetization and Revenue Sharing:
All revenue from paid features is currently retained by the platform. If revenue-sharing arrangements with content creators or influencers are introduced, users will be clearly informed of terms during transactions.
Account Deletion and Data Retention:
When an account is deleted, it is removed from the app immediately. However, chat data may be retained for 30 days strictly for moderation and safety review. Payment records, transaction data, and legal compliance information may be retained longer as required by law. This helps ensure the platform remains safe and respectful.
Intellectual Property:
You retain ownership of content you upload but grant us a license to use, modify, and display it within the service. You must not upload copyrighted material without permission. We reserve the right to remove infringing content and terminate accounts of repeat offenders.
Service Availability and Changes:
We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these terms, and continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
Bans and Moderation:
Shadowbans are not used. If a user is banned or IP-banned, their account remains in our system for moderation and evidence logging. Warnings may be issued for violations, and reverification may be requested if needed for user safety.
Security Disclaimer:
While we implement standard security measures, no online service is entirely secure. In the event of a breach, we will notify affected users as legally required. We are not liable for losses except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saddle's liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Dispute Resolution:
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law. The arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. California state law governs these terms.
Content Sharing Warning:
Please only upload content (including images and personal details) that you are comfortable with being visible to others online. Although we take security seriously, we cannot guarantee complete protection against breaches.
Termination of Service:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these terms or for any reason deemed appropriate to protect the integrity of our platform. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
Modifications:
We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be notified through the app or by email. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any updates.
Offline and In-Person Interactions:
Saddle is not responsible for any offline or in-person interactions between users. You are solely responsible for your conduct and safety in all interactions, both online and offline. If you experience inappropriate behavior, you may report other users at any time by visiting their profile.
